I just replaced the DLP chip I ordered through ShopJimmy.com – which fixed
all white pixel issues on my Samsung HL56A650C1FXZA. The picture is back to
perfect, but now I have an alignment issue. The screen is around 1.5″ too
far to the left and around -3 degrees off. Unfortunately I did not see this
video prior to my install and I’m confused as to how I can keep my TV on
while adjusting the dmd board? Also, I did not touch the screws under the
white plastic caps… Thanks for your help.

@Steven Thomas – Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know!

  5. Steven Thomas says:

Figured it out. The heat sink was not tightened properly on the chip. Once
tightened down the picture became crystal clear. Thanks!

  6. ShopJimmy.com says:

@OUsteventhomas – I would say either the optical engine isn’t pushed all
the way in or the DMD board that the chip sits on isn’t screwed all the way
down or in the proper place. You will want to adjust things and see how it
effects the image on the screen and go from there. Thanks and please let us
know if you have any further questions!

I have a Mitsubishi wd 73733. After replacing the chip I can’t get the
picture in focus. Menus are almost unreadable, actual text displayed on the
screen from satellite is also unreadable. I didn’t see the video about
taping and lining up before changing out the chip. Any suggestions on
    getting the picture in focus?

  8. ShopJimmy.com says:

@JayBrownsDay – This is typically a problem with your aspect ratio. It is
most likely set too high on the cable/satellite box and or the TV. Thanks!

  9. JayBrownsDay says:

What if the top and bottom are cut off? Is it possible the screen is too
    zoomed in?

    I’ve Mitsubishi DLP – DX60U projector and i can’t get a good square image –
it has a descent on top of right side of the image. I try to fix it by the
keystone adjustment but i couldn’t. can you help me with it? what is the
    solution of this problem?

  11. ShopJimmy.com says:

@john smith – This should be the main board that needs to be replaced on
the projector as it can contain information for the picture. Unfortunately
we do not carry this main board. You could try searching online for it
though. Thanks and please let us know if you need anything else.

  12. ShopJimmy.com says:

@Leonardo Chen – Without knowing which specific cable you are referring to,
it is difficult for me to know. I would suggest you give our customer
service a call and they may be able to find the specific cable. You can
reach out customer service at (877) 881-6492. Thanks and please let us know
if you have any other questions!

  13. ShopJimmy.com says:

@Karen White – This could be caused from the wrong version color wheel, or
it could be a DMD failure, thus requiring a new DMD board.

  14. ShopJimmy.com says:

@Mike McCart- What do you mean by light holes? Does it look like the common
white dots issue with DLP TVs? If so, I would think it is a bad DLP Chip.
Please view our channel for our DLP chip replacement video. Or you can
click on the link in this video to purchase a DLP chip. Thanks and please
call with any questions! (877) 881-6492

My TV goes half dark on either side that goes away after power cycle, but
comes back in 10 minutes. I think DLP is over heating. I need help locating
DLP or DMD board on HLR 5688W. Thanks

Best to call us at 877.881.6492 and ask for tech support to troubleshoot
    over the phone.

  18. ShopJimmy.com says:

@Leonardo Chen – The blinking yellow light typically means that the lamp
door is not properly secured. I would go through and be sure that
everything is securely tightened on the lamp door and other areas. If you
need any additional support, please feel free to contact our customer
    service at (877) 881-6492. Thanks!

@sanpatel2 – I would say you have a bad format/dmd board. This is the part
number for your board: BP96-01106A. If you search that part number on our
website you will find the part is out of stock. Please click on the “notify
me when this part is back in stock” button. Then we will email you when the
part is available. Thanks and please let us know if you need anything else!
